CALL FOR ENTRY
Sponsored by the Women’s Caucus for Art, Colorado Chapter (WCACO)
and the Photography Program at Colorado University Denver

Show Dates:
March 1 - 29, 2025

At the Mint & Serif Coffee Shop - 1835 Carr Street, Lakewood, CO 80214
Show Theme
There are so many ways that artists use photography to make art. The evolving nature of visual storytelling may include intimate details of your life, the invention of scenes or narratives, examining cultural contexts, evaluating social media and internet saturation, to name a few.
As a framework we look for storytelling through visual means. By revealing layers of meaning within your photograph, your image demonstrates our human need to connect. Both your culture and very personal details weave together and layer the meaning of your work. Therefore, the context of your work is important.

Your methods can encompass analogue and digital processes, camera-less techniques and mixed media approaches including collage. Collage techniques may include working an image through the computer and printing it or creating a work from materials that are found or self-made. Some aspects of a photograph must be visible. Work may be abstract, realistic or somewhere in between.

-
The exhibition is open to 2-D art.
-
$50 “Best in Show” award will go to a WCACO member and a $50 “Best in Show” award will go to a CU Denver student.
